Two sessions are available to choose from as usual. Please note that sessions will be slightly different for 2022. New running times below:
Session 1: 12pm-3:30pm Session 2: 4:30pm-8pm

We’re very excited to be working alongside one of our local partners and welcome back The Glasgow Distillery Co. as Headline Sponsor of this year’s festival with their Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
The Glasgow Distillery will be bringing their Glasgow 1770 bar where you can sample whiskies from their Signature Range of single malts: The Original, Peated and Triple Distilled. Visit the bar, meet the makers and understand how they produce three very different styles of award-winning single malt whisky under the one roof.
The distillery will also have a second bar where you can try the other innovative spirits they produce at the distillery. Each of their products has a back story which is rooted in Glasgow’s heritage and culture, not to mention they taste fantastic too. Visit The Glasgow Distillery bar and sample their Malt Riot Blended Malt Scotch Whisky, Banditti Club Rum, G52 Botanical Vodka and their Makar Gin.
Liam Hughes, CEO of The Glasgow Distillery, commented:
“We’re thrilled to once again be sponsoring the festival with our flagship whisky, Glasgow 1770. Glasgow’s Whisky Festival has a special place in our hearts as it’s one of the first festivals we attended with our new whisky back in 2018, to a brilliant reception. Ever since then the festival has been a central fixture in our calendar and we cannot wait to once again be sharing drams with those both local and who have travelled to attend. We’re all looking forward to it immensely.”
The tickets for Glasgow’s Whisky Festival 2021 will go on sale on Saturday 20th of November at 11am.
You can book online from Tickets Scotland (max 6) and can also buy in person from them at their Argyle Street store in Glasgow (booking fees apply).
Alternatively you can purchase tickets in person from Bon Accord in North Street in Glasgow with no booking fees.
Tickets are £40 each and are non-refundable.
Please also consider before you buy that entry in February will be subject to meeting any Covid rules and regulations that may be in force at that time.
We’re sure tickets will be in high demand so we recommend getting yours as soon as possible. Good luck!
We’re moving our festival to Saturday the 19th of February 2022.
After much thought and many meetings in Bon Accord (any excuse) we feel that it will be in everyone’s best interests to move the date. We know that many of you plan your visit to our event well in advance booking trains, hotels and even flights and we also want to be able to properly prepare to bring you the best festival we can. Moving from November to February allows us all to confidently plan the day once we see how autumn and winter go.
Hopefully this isn’t too much of a disappointment to you but if things progress well towards the end of the year then we should be back with a bang in February and all drams blazing.
We’ll have more updates for you in the months ahead plus details of ticket sales as soon as we’re ready to go with those.
Following our announcement last week that this year’s festival has been cancelled we have now booked Hampden Park for Saturday 20th of November next year. Please stick the date in your diary and we’ll have updates in the New Year regarding tickets etc.
Unfortunately due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the current coronavirus pandemic we have taken the reluctant decision to cancel this year’s event.
We feel that there is unlikely any safe way in which it can take place in its current format and with certain parts of the country being locked down again there is a high probability that we won’t be allowed to hold an event of this size in November anyway.
We know this will cause a lot of disappointment – it certainly has for us! – but for those who may have travel and accommodation bookings we feel it is only fair to come to a decision now. We held off as long as we possibly could but we had to make a call now and cancellation is the only real option available.
Meanwhile we will be ploughing ahead with preparations for our 2021 event and whilst we don’t have a set date at the moment we would invite you to join us next November at Hampden Park, if all goes well.
Please stay safe and well and thanks for your patience this year which has been difficult for us all.
Finally, stay tuned for updates in the coming months where we might have one or two surprises in store…
Want to win tickets for next year? All you have to do to be in with a chance is bring along some food and toiletry items with you next Saturday. See the Food Bank page for all the details.
Thanks in advance for your support again with this and good luck!
In exactly six months we’ll be opening the doors once again at Hampden Park for Glasgow’s Whisky Festival. This is our 10th year so we’re delighted to announce as part of the celebrations that we have The Glasgow Distillery Co. once again as our Headline Sponsor! Last year when we opened the doors at 12pm fans of the whisky ran to their special area where they had set up tasting bars for their initial 1770 Glasgow Single Malt Whisky release. This year they will be sampling their 2019 release and you will be able to buy a bottle on the day.
We’re so excited to be working so closely again with one of our local distilleries and we’re sure this year will be our biggest and best festival yet! Look out for loads of exhibitor announcements coming in the following weeks…
Tickets for Session 1 are sold out so pick up your ticket for Session 2 asap before they’re all gone too!
